Choosing Someone to Walk Through Hard Things With You
Picking a therapist means handing something over, and you know that before you ever get to the part about faith.
Sometimes, it’s your own hard year, the one nobody at work or at home knows about.
Sometimes, it’s your child or your teen, and behavior at home that isn’t what you want it to be.
Anyone raised in church carries a question into that decision about where the therapist stands on faith, and it’s fair to weigh.

Either Way, You Need Help
Some left that faith back with childhood and haven’t thought much about it since.
Others count it among the most important parts of their lives and want it in the room.
You came here to sleep better, quiet your mind, work through pain, and feel better overall.
Faith is not a condition of working with me; I respect where you are and will meet you there.
Nothing About You Sits Outside This Work
I take a holistic approach to the mind, body, and soul because your story has pieces in all three.
The mind is the therapy itself, where boundaries, communication strategies, and coping tactics turn into practical relief from what’s been wearing on you. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan, and that standard holds regardless of whether faith comes up between us.
The body is neurofeedback, because some of what you’re carrying is physiological, like genetics and trauma history.
The soul is where faith sits, and it comes in at your invitation.

Faith Comes in When You Invite It and Not Before
Faith is an important part of my life, and I bring it in when you give permission and when it fits what you’re working on. Plenty of good clinicians pray with their clients, and that’s real care.
My style is not JUST to pray it away, but to encourage a deeper relationship with God that brings more trust and peace.
Values like integrity, grace, and compassion sit underneath that for a lot of people, whether or not they still call it faith.
If faith isn’t a place you go anymore, that’s ok; nothing about the care you get changes.
What You Want Here Is Worth Asking For
- A body that feels calm instead of braced from the moment you wake up.
- A mind that goes quiet when you want it to, at night and on an ordinary Thursday.
- A soul that is grounded, more connected, and secure.
Wanting all three at once is important work and reasonable to want for your child, too.
